Reminder: we only consider submissions from those who have been diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis).
We welcome:

Personal essays, creative and experimental nonfiction (2,500 words max)
- Poetry (submit a minimum of two and a maximum of five poems)
- Interviews with writers, artists, creatives, activists, etc.
- Book & film reviews (1,300 words max)
- Op-eds (1,500 words max)
- Visual art (high quality scans or photos of installations/place-based art. Up to 5 images)
For all written work: fully finished submissions are preferred, but we are open to partial submissions if you need editorial support. Please note that your submission may be subjected to light edits and editorial notes in order to be published.
Before submitting, please familiarize yourself with the kind of work we publish in ENTRAILS, if possible. We have sliding scale price options and paid foward issues free of charge.
ENTRAILS does not publish work that includes health advice, lifestyle prescriptions, wellness routines, or frames disability through narratives of triumph, ‘overcoming’ illness, ‘warrior’-adjacent heroism, or recovery.
